DOK Province III

The Virginia Diocesan Assembly consists of over 200 members in 16 chapters and “at large.” We support our Rector or priest in charge, care for each other, and strengthen our communities by serving and modelling Beloved Community. Currently all Virginia chapters are Episcopalian, but DOK is open to churches in communion with the Episcopal church or in the historic episcopate.

 EXAMPLES of MINISTRY:

-      Members of all churches lead and serve in all church ministries as they are able

-      Design and lead quiet days, contemplative service, Advent and Lenten events, Bible study, Lectio Divina, Sacred Ground circles, retreats, prayer groups, book study

-      Outreach projects: food pantries, baby and school supplies, Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas gifts, books, personal care items, cooking for the hungry

-      Praying for members of our church and wider communities, as well as our international partners

-      Visiting and sending cards to those who are alone

-      Creation care projects such as vegetable, flower, and peace gardens
